Sea, air and door-to-door freight from China
Shanghai Xiangcheng Shipping Co., Ltd. is a freight forwarder based in the Lin-gang Special Area of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone. You bought something in China — we get it to you: pickup from your supplier, ocean or air freight, customs and duties handled according to your trade terms, and delivery to your address. Itemised quotes, one accountable contact, plain answers throughout.
Two kinds of buyers, one standard of answers
Established importers who need an origin team they can rely on — and people buying big items from China for the first time, who need the process explained as much as executed.
Importers buying FOB from Chinese suppliers
Your supplier confirms the order, and the origin side is still unsolved: pickup, export declaration, documents that match your import entry. We take the origin scope off your desk and keep your broker informed.
First-time buyers of machinery and oversized items
You bought — or are about to buy — a machine, production line, or something big enough to need a wooden crate, and nobody has explained how it reaches you. We handle each stage and translate the terms as we go.
Brands moving regular replenishment volumes
Repeat LCL or air shipments live or die on routine: consistent documents, no surprise charges, and someone who notices a cut-off before it becomes a delay. We build the routine and hold it.
What we handle
Standard forwarding scope, executed properly. Cargo insurance can be arranged on request — and if your need is outside this list, ask us: we will tell you plainly whether it is something we can do.
To your door, duties handled
The whole journey from a Chinese supplier to your address — pickup, freight, border, delivery. DDP where the destination allows it, honest alternatives where it doesn’t.

Full containers and consolidated shipments ex-Shanghai and the Yangtze Delta, with origin handling and export customs included in scope.
Details → AirAir Freight
For cargo where speed or value-to-weight wins. We quote on chargeable weight, confirm actual schedules at booking, and handle the airport side.
Details → ComplianceCustoms & Documentation
Export declarations, invoices, packing lists and shipping documents checked against each other — before they are filed, not after.
Details →Machinery, equipment and oversized cargo
Machines, production equipment, vehicles and odd-sized cargo are normal freight — they just need the right plan. Crating, loading equipment, lashing inside the container, and what waits at the destination are all decided before the quote, not after a problem.

Crated to survive the trip
Large items travel in wooden export crates or on skids; heat-treated wood (ISPM-15) is the export standard. If your supplier packs poorly, we say so before the cargo moves.
Loaded and secured properly
Forklifts and cranes at loading, lashing and bracing inside the container — so your machine does not spend the ocean voyage loose.
Checked at both ends
A forklift at the factory gate is not enough: delivery trucks need access, and a home address has limits a port does not. We ask before we quote.
From your inquiry to the vessel sailing
The same five steps for every shipment — so you always know where yours stands.
Inquiry
You send your shipment details — the quote checklist tells you exactly what to include. We confirm we have what we need, and ask if we don’t.
Quotation
You receive an itemised quote — freight, origin charges, documentation — with a validity window, because ocean and air rates move.
Booking
Once you confirm, we book the shipment and lock the schedule the carrier actually offers — not an optimistic one.
Origin handling
Cargo reaches the port or airport, export customs is declared, and the document set is checked before anything sails.
Departure & updates
You receive the bill of lading or air waybill and status updates through departure — and if something changes, you hear it from us first.

Do you publish rates on your website?
No. Ocean and air rates move with the market; a rate table on a website would be stale the day it was written, and a number that is wrong is worse than none.
Send us your shipment details and you will get an itemised quote with a validity window — that is the honest version of a rate.
Can you deliver to my address, not just the port?
Often, yes — door delivery is a normal part of a forwarding scope, arranged per destination. Whether it works for your shipment depends on the country’s import rules, the cargo, and what the delivery address can handle.
Tell us the destination and what you are shipping; we confirm what is possible before you commit, not after.
I don’t know the logistics terms. Is that a problem?
No — it is our job. Describe what you bought, where it is, and where it should go; the quote checklist walks you through the rest in plain language.
If a term matters (incoterm, customs, duties), we explain it when it matters.
Who pays import duty and taxes?
It depends on the trade terms agreed for your purchase. Under DDP the shipper side covers them; under most other terms the importer of record — usually you — pays them to your customs authority.
Either way, we tell you which situation applies to your shipment before you book, so the arrival bill is never a surprise.
